In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 casual games on a unified platform in Africa exhibited a range of performance metrics, highlighting trends in weekly revenue, downloads, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each game fared:

Candy Crush Saga by King demonstrated relatively stable weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $250K in the first week of January. Weekly downloads saw a notable high of 397K in the same week, followed by a gradual decline to around 211K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, reaching a peak of over 5M in late January but ending the quarter at around 4.4M.

Coin Master from Moon Active experienced a steady weekly revenue, ranging between $90K to $126K, with the highest revenue recorded in the first week of January. Downloads increased significantly from 18.7K in late December to a peak of 43.7K at the end of March. Active users showed a consistent rise, starting from 175K and reaching nearly 194K by the end of the quarter.

Downloads were highest at 137K in the first week of January, with a downward trend to around 59K by the end of March. Active users peaked at 279K in late January but gradually decreased to 200K by the end of the quarter.
